The race “5KM Solidarios” raises 9,500 euros for the Food Bank

About 700 people participated in some of the modalities, face-to-face or virtual, offered by the charity race 5KM Solidarios promoted by the volunteers of Corporación Hijos de Rivera.

The industrial estate of Agrela in A Coruña was the scene of this event that took place on Sunday, December 12 and that safely brought together participants of all ages, who traveled the 5 km of the route running or walking.

The “5KM Solidarios” race has raised 9,500 euros for the Rías Altas Food Bank, thus supporting its fundamental service as a food supplier for disadvantaged groups in the area.

About 700 people participated in some way in this charity race promoted by the volunteers of Corporación Hijos de Rivera in which the entire collection obtained from the registrations, in addition to the donations to Dorsal 0, goes to the Food Bank.

On this occasion, the race returned to the streets of the Agrela industrial estate of A Coruña on Sunday, December 12 with start at the Estrella Galicia factory. Participants of all ages, accompanied in many cases also by their pets, ran or walked the 5 kilometers of the journey under a festive and, above all, very safe atmosphere following all the appropriate health precautions for an event of these characteristics.

The participants who opted for the virtual modality had the opportunity to choose a tailor-made route to take between December 5 and 12, leaving a record of their activity on an app.

The success of the race involved various entities that collaborated. The Volunteers of Corporación Hijos de Rivera coordinated with the Rías Altas Food Bank the organization, which also had the support of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Agrela, the Provincial Consortium against Fire and Rescue, Estrella Galicia 0,0, Cabreiroá, Gadis, GLS, Vegalsa, Frutas Prado and ASISA (Agrela Car Dealership).
